Ticket to Work Program

female cashier

The Ticket to Work program helps people who receive Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) go to work. The Social Security Administration (SSA) developed the program because many people with disabilities want to become employed.

If you receive these benefits because of a mental illness and live in central Maryland or the surburban D.C. area, the Office on Mental Health will help you find a community program that can help you:

There are five community programs that are part of the Maryland Mental Health Employment Network (MMHEN).  The Office on Mental Health administers the MMHEN.

If you take your Ticket to Work to one of these programs, you will get high quality support services from professionals who specialize in helping people with mental illness go back to work.
