We open our toll-free telephone line on Mondays from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. and on Thursdays from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. to anyone. Call 1-855-384-2844.

You will speak with Shannon Smiles, a Certified Work Incentive Coordinator (CWIC).

This is a free, confidential service to help you make informed choices about going to work.

mechanics at workThe Maryland Employment Network is an "Employment Network." If you call us and are interested in the Ticket to Work program, this is what you can expect:

  1. We will tell you about the ways that we help SSA's disability beneficiaries use the Ticket to Work program.
  2. We will ask you general questions about your work goals and the services you need to go to work.
  3. To see if you need the intensive job supports offered in our six community partner programs, we may send you a medical form to take to the doctor or clinic that is giving you mental health treatment.
    If you are eligible for one of these programs, we will refer you to the community program that is closest to your home or that best meets your needs. They will provide services while you take part in the Ticket to Work program.

    If your disability does not qualify for referral to our partners, we will talk with you to see what options are available to access employment supports.
