What is Ticket to Work?
If you receive Social Security benefits, you are likely eligible for Ticket to Work! Ticket to Work is a program that connects you with free employment services to help you decide if working is right for you, prepare for work, find a job or maintain success while you are working. If you choose to participate, you will receive services from authorized Ticket to Work service providers, such as Employment Networks (EN) or your state Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) agency. The service provider you choose will serve as an important part of your “employment team” that will help you on your journey to financial independence. Additionally, if you are connected to an Employment Network or your state Vocational Rehabilitation agency through Ticket to Work, and you are making progress on your work goals, you may be protected from Continuing Disability Reviews. The goal of the Ticket to Work Program is to help you earn more money and become financially independent so that you can achieve your other life goals!
The Maryland Employment Network is an in-house team of experts, partnering with 9 high-performing, outcome-driven vocational programs who provide assistance with job searching, intensive benefits counseling, and on-the-job support. In FY 17 the network, including providing partner agencies, helped 288 Ticket Holders obtain employment and work towards becoming self-sufficient!
